We spent two incredible nights at Oasia Hotel Novena Singapore, but wish we’d been able to stay longer. From the outside, the hotel looks modern and grand without being over the top or imposing. When you arrive, the concierge and front desk staff are warm and welcoming, offering to help with bags and check-in straight away.

Location-wise, it is in the perfect spot as it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist attractions but an easy spot to move around from. The hotel elevator goes to an underpass which leads you on an easy, short 5-minute walk to a food court and Novena MRT station. Novena station is on the North-South line which means Orchard Road is 2 stops away and it’ll only cost you a few dollars to get there. Check out the MRT & LRT map here.  Raffles Place, City Hall and Marina Bay are also on the North-South line and Changi Airport is 25 minutes by taxi.

I stayed in a stunning Club Room on the 22nd floor and felt like an absolute Queen! Check-in for Club Rooms is done at The Living Room, located on another floor, so you feel a little bit fabulous being whisked away to a special, private area while a friendly bell-hop escorts your luggage.

Club Rooms are a huge 25 square meters, oozing modern comfort and luxury with natural wood panelling,  marble flooring, high ceilings and massive windows. They come with a generous bathroom including a rainforest shower head and full bathtub. The beds are a big, comfy size stocked with large pillows you can melt into. One of my favourite features of the room was the size of the windows, they really let the incredible view in and made you feel like you weren’t missing a moment of the action.

Rooms also feature a big desk, which I found really useful for times when I needed to catch up on emails, and a big 46-inch television with loads of channels just perfect for those self-indulgent holiday moments when all you want to do is stay in bed and watch movies. The Enchanted Spa Retreat located on the 2nd floor is the perfect spot for a massage, facial or body wrap.

Also included with Club Rooms is complimentary breakfast, cocktails and all-day coffee, tea, juices, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks (from 6pm to 8pm) at The Living Room. This was such a treat as it meant I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything or ‘copping’ out by returning to the hotel. Each evening, Matt and I would head to The Living Room at 6pm for snacks and a glass of wine to unwind and share our favourite moments from the day. The all-day snacks were great as it also meant we could duck in for a glass of juice or a coffee and sweet treat before heading back to our room or heading out for sightseeing.

Breakfasts are generous and include a dedicated egg station where the very lovely chef will greet you with a huge smile and offer to make you pancakes or eggs any way you like! An extra treat is the availability of barista-made coffee, including soy milk for those with lactose allergies.

The hotel pool for Club Rooms is a large infinity pool perfect for cooling down and relaxing a hot, tired body after a big day of walking and sightseeing. Important for those on business or anyone just wanting to stay connected, WiFi is available free and works really well (is there anything worse than bad WiFi?) The hotel also has two restaurants on site, Zaffron and Raikuichi Japanese Restaurant. As I said earlier, there is a food court in the underpass to Novena MRT station, the perfect spot to grab something quick to eat earlier in the day.

I really enjoyed my stay at Oasia Hotel Novena Singapore for a number of reasons. Firstly, the rooms were comfortable and beautiful and really well thought out, meaning they included things you need but always forget you need. Secondly, every single staff member was incredibly polite, friendly and helpful and always greeted me with a big smile, it made me feel so welcome and comfortable asking for help with things like directions.

I would recommend the hotel to all types of travellers as it’s suited to families with small and older children and also well suited to those travelling on business. It’s also well suited to couples, singles or anyone travelling through Singapore just looking for somewhere great to stay that’s luxurious and well-located.
