Hello! We’re Phoebe and Matt.

Phoebe is a presenter, writer and award-winning blogger. Matt is a videographer, creative and photographer. Together, we run Little Grey Box; an award-winning travel blog and YouTube channel.

We started Little Grey Box on the floor of our London flat as an outlet for Phoebe’s love of writing. After a few years, we decided to quit our full-time jobs and take a chance on making our dreams a reality. Now, we travel the world together, working with the biggest names in the travel industry and creating written and video guides to help others #TravelWell.

  1. Hi Phoebe and Matt.
Sorry for contacting you like this – I searched for email address, etc, but all I could find is this. Anyway, I brought the family up to my in-laws on Bribie Island over Easter (we’re from Brisbane like you). Weathers been not-too-good, so turns out we watched far more TV than we ever do when on the island. So my in-laws showed me some of your travel guides, and they’ve fallen for you in a good way. George wanted to show me one of your vids in paticular, where you talk about how Little Grey Box got started, and why – your growing pains, etc. He said it reminds him a lot of my own start-up business journey which is only about 12 months old. He was spot-on – that vid did resonate with me a lot. So much so I’ll be writing up a piece around your business and sending it out to my subscribers this week or next. If you like I’ll send it over to you to take a read prior to sending, and feel free to suggest changes or additions if you like. That’s not why I’m trying to contact you, but I wanted to give you some background. Long and short is QLD Government have a program for small businesses to apply for up to $10k (it’s not the digital adaption grant from last year), and I believe what you do, and how you do it, is really an attractive offering for them. It’s only $10k, but I believe it’d also help expand your reach. And this program is really simple to apply for – only problem is, applications close on Friday, April 9. I reckon it’d probably take maybe a couple of hours to do the application, and I think you already have established business assets that could be repurposed for the program. What’s in it for me, I can almost hear you asking…Truly, nothing. I strongly believe in small businesses building partnerships with each other which are win/win. Who knows, over time that might happen with us. Might not. But you gotta start somewhere, right? If I can help you get approved for this funding, then great for you, and I’ll be the first to cngratulate you. Of course, this might have no interest from you, or perceived value. If not, I understand. It’d still be good to catch up one day for a coffee so you can hear a bit about what I do, why I do it, and how. And also be great to pick the brains of two successful Brissie business people! Have a great afternoon, Phoebe and Matt, and keep up the great work – you guys are doing really fantastic work.
