  1. Hi Little Gray Box I loved your you tube videos so positive and beautiful videography! If you could live in any US Beach town would it be Charelston San Diego or somewhere else?

  2. We are making the drive with our child in November. I read stuff about Avalanches? Is that to Milford Sound? We are just doing Christchurch to Queenstown. I”m nervous now though. I picture riding along the side of a giant cliff and lots of snow. I also get car sick. Can you tell me is it windy dangerous roads or is that certain more adventurous routes? Thank you!

    1. Hi Meghan. What a trip! You are going to have so much fun! If you are driving Christchurch to Queenstown the roads are fantastic and in my opinion very safe if you drive safely and to the conditions. I would read up on the road rules and you will be fine. I may be wrong but there shouldn’t be much snow around in November at all so I don’t think you are at much risk of avalanches on that road at all. Matt

        1. Hey Megan,

I live in Queenstown. The State Highway 8 from QT to CHC contains no roads that you would be concerned about avalanche. Only the QT to Milford road (further on), and really only in a big storm in winter, not Nov. Check below for more info, travel slowly and allow time as our roads are windy and narrow. The Lindis pass is the most spectacular section (highest altitudinally) but is fine. You could get snow at any time of the year. Statistically we do every month in QT:)

I’m here as I’m coming to Queensland!

  3. Greetings from Wisconsin. I met a young lady from China 2 yrs ago in Amazon area. We have stayed in touch and told her I didn’t know where my next adventure should be. She responded “Dan, come and I will show you the real China”. So flight is booked. I’m curious as to which embassy you may have gotten your visa from as I have heard differing processes at different embassies. Have also heard that it may be advantageous to go through an on-line agency. Just wondering if you have any thoughts?

  4. Hi Phoebe, Heading to KL in a couple of weeks and your advice was very helpful. I have travelled a lot, but there is always something to learn. Thanks!
