“Go to the people and the places that set a spark in your soul.” – Anon.
Sometimes when you travel you find yourself in a place that captures your heart. You can’t help but see the beauty and wonder in every moment and find yourself marvelling at everything around you. This is what happened to me when I visited Wanaka recently.
I had been to New Zealand’s South Island before, but it was many, many years ago and somehow I’d forgotten how beautiful it is. The time I spent in Queenstown, but particularly Wanaka, was incredibly enjoyable. The food was delicious, the wine was amazing and the scenery was awe-inspiring. It was so beautiful I couldn’t help but pull the car over every few minutes to take more photos. On top of all this, the people we met were incredibly welcoming, friendly and so genuine. All of this combined made it a trip I won’t soon forget.
Along the way I got to meet a number of very kind and generous locals who opened up their businesses for Matt and I. Thank you so much to each of these people for sharing your part of the world for us and allowing us to experience the best of your local are and have the trip of a lifetime. It’s safe to say, New Zealand is one of my favourite places on earth.
