If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen me share a little bit of exciting news! (That’s a shameless plug of my Instagram account.) In the lead up to the Commonwealth Games, held on the Gold Coast in April 2018 #GC2018, Tourism & Events Queensland are putting together a few local guides to gorgeous Queensland destinations. In each spot, they asked a local to share their favourite things to see, do and eat. I was very fortunate to be asked to be the Brisbane local! Given I’m a ride or die Brisbanian and rep Queensland pretty hard, I was so happy to be asked. It was a great gig, essentially I got to have my dream day while the lovely Krista Eppelstun filmed everything. Today, I wanted to share a few photos from the day and show you what we got up to.

The finished video will be shared on the Tourism & Events Queensland YouTube channel and Facebook page! Hopefully, it inspires our overseas visitors to make the most of their time in Queensland and explore all the wonderful, unique places we have to offer. I know I’m biased, but I think Queensland is the best place to live in the world! #LameQueenslandFangirl

A huge thank you to Tourism & Events Queensland for having me, to all the wonderful people who let us film at your stores, restaurants and cafes, to Krista Eppelstun for all your hard work filming and to my lovely husband Matt, for being so helpful and supportive. I cannot wait to see and share the finished video!

Update: the video has now gone live, watch it at the end of this post and let me know what you think in the comments.

We visited the park for a spot of cycling and my outfit was a little too coordinated. (If ya’ll wanna hire me, CityCycle/Lipton, just let me know!)

In the bid to find the perfect sunset, we ended up at this dreamy spot. Here’s Krista, framing the shot through ‘the tree of life.’

A quick stop at my favourite bookstore for an introvert moment and some bookworm shots! I felt a tiny bit like Belle in Beauty & The Beast (Matt, that makes you the beast).

Sharing my obsession for gorgeous skirts and taking you to a few of the best thrift stores in Brisbane – cue the change room montage and dorky dancing. P.S I fell in love with and bought two skirts from this spot!

Just a super casual moment, casually chilling outside one of my favourite coffee spots… casually….

Pulling weird faces and eating an acai bowl with all my friends. (Girrrrrrl, peep my highlight tho!)
